When I first noticed, that by approaching towers diagonallywith archers I could stop them firing at me, I did only hope it would work if the arher's range is lower than the tower's. It did Was I glad to see that a single macedonian ballista with a horse archer can take down a ballista tower that has better range - and without any damage to attacker!

Details of this RoR bug/trick can be found at SimMayor's Place. Please have all the discussion here. I am very interested if you can reproduce it in multiplayer games, for towers on hills or for multiple towers.
