Well, once again Jehu has inspired me to act.

So, this Saturday at 7:00 PM CST in Palantine will be the first (of many!)

APC party!!

Everyone is welcome, of course; more people= more games=more fun!

Seeing how much fun the AOEH forum party last weekend was, I hope this will be as much, or more fun!!

I have been trying to get some 4v4 games going, but they are sooooo hard unless you have a large group prepared in advance. You just can't do one of these ad hoc. This looks like a good chance to get one going, would anyone else be willing to play a good 4v4 match?

Can someone say what time it is in GMT?

Thanks

1:00 AM GMT, I think. GMT-6 is central

[DOH!] what Thorfinn said

(note to self...refresh....)
I'm fairly certain that CST is 6 hours earlier from GMT. So the start would be at 1:00 AM GMT on Sunday.

I didn't check, so this might be wrong.

Maybe we should start using internet time to schedule games. If your not familiar with internet time, it was started by Swatch to indicate time all around the world. It uses 1000 ticks on a clock that is the same in any location around the world. So if it is 935 in New York, then it is 935 in Tokyo too, even if the standard time is different. You can learn more about it here.

I don't have ROR (I assume this is a ROR room the APC party will be in?). What can I do aside from by ROR?

Umm....aside from buying RoR, the only way I can think of for you to try is to BUY RISE OF ROME!
what are you waiting for? RoR is soooo much better than AoE. I can't imagine not being able to Que units anymore

Unfortunately buying ROR is out of the question. I would if I could afford but it's either ROR or AOK for me and I know what I'd rather have. I have the ROR trial version if that's playable online.

Yes, that Jehu is inspirational, isn't he? He's inspired me to go to church, vote Republican, & wear oversized hats (the clown make-up was my own idea, however).

Assuming I am not face down in a puddle of Oatmeal Stout, I'll try to be there, so everyone can see first hand I haven't under-rated my abilities (and, w/ luck, I can FINALLY begin to improve).

Josh, Josh, Josh,

There's really no choice at all. Go down to CompUSA and pick it up for $10. Mail in the rebate and in 6-8 weeks, you get a nice $10 check. All you have to pay for is tax. (Assuming there's a CompUSA in your neck of the woods.)

The improvements are worth it.

My apologies Josh, I didn't realize you lived on the other side of the world. I'll tell you what, occasionally I do play testing for Microsoft and get free games in return. Next time I go in, if they will ship it to New Zealand, I'll have them send it to you. (Unless they have released their new batch of games. Sorry. )

Just to let you know, it's often several months between sessions for me, and I just went in about 2 weeks ago.

A master's, eug1? Let's see, 7:00+1:00 would be, uh..., uhhh..., 8:00 EST. Or were you wondering what time that would be counting in daylight savings time? Here, I really don't know for sure. That whole "spring forward" thing has me confused. I think it means that you have to get up earlier, so that would mean 7:00 EDT, but don't quote me. As for me, if I can get on this weekend, I'll get on at 6:00 CDT and if that's wrong, I'll just use the excuse, "I'm getting in a practice game or two before the party."

Of course, now I've blown that excuse so I'll just say (DOH! Almost ruined my other excuse!)

Keep your stick on the ice.

(Parents, however, are another story entirely.)

What if it started at 7:00 EST????

JESUS! Look what inflation does. $65 NZ money for RoR!How big are the taxes there. I could use this for further proof in a composition im writing.

Just reading through posts. I noticed that some people don't have RoR (besides Me) I ordered RoR online today at CompUSAnet. It'll be $4.00 after the mail-in rebate. I posted this somewhere else already, but I forgot where.
