So before I turn it off for good, I decide to play a quick game of RoR against the computer for practice. I start it up and select Multiplayer (so I can set pop limit to 75). And.... nothing. I get the hour glass and it just sits there. The mouse will move the curser, but I can't Esc. out, or Alt/tab, or Cont/Alt/Del. Nothing. I have to reboot.
So I reboot, start RoR again, and select single player. Game starts fine. I quit that game, and try again to start Multiplayer. Same problem as before.
I reboot, go on line, hit the Zone, and get a room, advertising 1v1. Player comes in, I hit launch, and it goes to the screen where it says "Setting up Multiplayer Game" and that's where it stays. I wait a good long time to make sure and then....
I reboot again and reinstall RoR. Still no multiplayer.
Reboot again. Unistall RoR and AoE through the Control Panel. Then I reinstall them both, starting with AoE.
Multiplayer still doesn't work.
Any idea what could be the problem? About the only thing I see left to do is a reformat and I really don't feel like doing that.
Everything else seems to be working fine as far as TCP/IP software, getting on the internet, etc.
Thanks
