eug1,
The bugs I do remember were minor ones anyway. Things like a single pilot (computer controlled) being in more than one airplane at a time, comp pilots not getting credit for completed missions, etc. Yeah, there are bugs, but the game is still very playable. (I'm talking about single player, I can't attest to the multi-player stability of the game.)
To give you an idea, between instant action, training missions, death match, and starting a campaign, I had 30-50 hours into it, and still had to refer to the manual at times to figure out different radar modes.
Like I said earlier, the campaign mode is phenominal. Any time your campaign game is running, the war is going on, even if you're not flying. Instead of canned missions that are so prevalent, you are presented with a pick list of missions that need to be flown in the next several hours. Choose one, get briefed, and hope for the best. It does a pretty good job of simulating the chaos of war. You constantly hear radio calls from friendlies giving position updates, firing missiles, getting shot down, etc. Many times I have fired at a friendly because I thought it was my target.
The biggest downside of the game is that after buying it, I really wanted a Saitek stick and throttle package. To be really good at the game, you almost have to have a HOTAS.
(Never tried F15. I refuse to buy a game that only supports 3dfx accelerators.)
