Priest Teaming
by apocalypse77
This is just about a strategy for AOE and RoR that works very
well on the computer. Obviously this works best with a priest
civ; Egyptian and Choson are probably the best. This puts priests
in teams of usually two. Two is the most efficient use of gold
as well as the priests. This works in Bronze, but it is best
in Iron, because of the number of upgrades that you can get
for your priests.
Well, it's very simple. On all units and towers, if two priests
are converting it at the same time, then it will continuously
alternate between attacking the two. However, the computer will
alternate so rapidly that it will not be able to attack either
priest, so both will remain intact as you should easily convert
a unit.
Also, you can do this with towers. Attack a tower with a few
archers, drawing its fire long enough for you to get your priests
into position. It's a lot of fun to see your opponents towers
suddenly turn on them!
Assign numbers to Priest teams as well. This makes it much easier
to select groups. The one disadvantage to this is that if you
keep all your priests in a large group, and the priests are
on opposite sides of the group, one priest may begin converting
and come under fire.
There is a strategy of having one priest converting a tower
and having the other one heal him. In this case, this is probably
more useful than the teaming strategy. When two priests convert
something, both their faith meters deplete. The main advantage
this strategy has over having one priest convert and one priest
heal is that it can take out any siege weapon without damage,
and that it is less to do, especially in a game that requires
fast reactions.
